Entrepreneurial Sparks Burst from a Furnace

The development of Linuo Group has been hard work, as it has metamorphosed from a small factory to a large manufacturing group.  Linuo’s first factory producing pharmaceutical glass took root in the saline and alkaline land of Shanghe County to the north of the Yellow River. The fire in the first glass furnace was like a single spark that starts a prairie fire, inspiring Linuo’s crew to work together, harder, and strive for success. The entrepreneurial culture formed in this period has been a support to Linuo’s employees during the years of its fast development.

Sowing the Rays of the Sun

In the 1950’s there was a dream in the heart of a group of children from the poverty-stricken Yimeng Mountains in Shandong that one day they could sow the rays of the sun, that those rays would somehow turn the dark night bright and heat every village’s water hot during cold winters.  When those children grew up, they started Linuo Group and turned their dream into reality by developing solar energy products and services.

Mergers at the turn of the 21st Century

In 2003 in its ninth year, Linuo Group merged with Hongjitang, a century-old Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) enterprise. Linuo dedicates itself to the country by developing industry and serving the people, while Hongjitang commits itself to national and global healthcare by providing effective treatment and health products.  It has been a fortuitous match and partnership. Since then, the healthcare sector has become an important part of Linuo Group. Our founder’s dream of providing high quality TCM treatment to patients has gradually come true.

Spanning time and space

Whereas Linuo Group’s first factories and its headquarters are located on the banks of the Yellow River in East China, two later Linuo acquisitions in the coatings and fine chemicals sectors - Twin Tigers Coatings and Wuhan Youji - are located along the banks of the Yangtze River in Hubei Province, in China’s midland. Twin Tigers and Wuhan Youji, with a combined history of more than 160 years, joined the Linuo Group in the early 21st century, thereby providing Linuo Group not just with a greater national presence, but also with a larger global market footprint.
